Butterscotch Brownies
Ingredients:
- 2 1/2 cups flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted (sweet) softened butter
- 1 3/4 cups packed dark brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
- 2 eggs
- 1 2/3 cup (11 oz) butterscotch flavored morsels
Directions:
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit
- Combine flour, baking powder and salt in a medium bowl
- Beat melted butter, brown sugar, and vanilla extract in a large bowl
- Beat eggs into large bowl mixture
- Gradually beat in flour mixture until texture is smooth
- Stir in 1 cup of butterscotch morsels
- Spread into 13×9 inch UNGREASED baking pan
- Evenly spread remainder of morsels over top of mixture
- Cook for 30 minutes, or until brownies begin to pull away from sides
- Allow to cool completely in pan (usually for about an hour)
- Cut into bars and serve
