Beef Stew

Ingredients:

  • 2-3 lbs. of beef chuck (cut into cubes)
  • 3-4 oz. tomato paste
  • 4 cups of beef stock or vegetable broth
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 1 yellow onion (chopped)
  • 1 pound small white and/or red potatoes
  • 1 pound carrots, sliced
  • 4-6 tablespoons minced garlic
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Dutch Oven Preparation

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. In a 5-quart Dutch oven, combine all ingredients. Cook for 3 hours.

Slow-Cooker Preparation

Combine all ingredients in a slow cooker. Cook on high (5 hours) or low (8 hours).
