Beef Stew
Ingredients:
- 2-3 lbs. of beef chuck (cut into cubes)
- 3-4 oz. tomato paste
- 4 cups of beef stock or vegetable broth
- 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- 1 yellow onion (chopped)
- 1 pound small white and/or red potatoes
- 1 pound carrots, sliced
- 4-6 tablespoons minced garlic
- Salt and pepper to taste
Dutch Oven Preparation
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. In a 5-quart Dutch oven, combine all ingredients. Cook for 3 hours.
Slow-Cooker Preparation
Combine all ingredients in a slow cooker. Cook on high (5 hours) or low (8 hours).
