Chocolate Smores Brownies

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup (6-oz package) of semi-sweet Chocolate Chips
  • 1 2/3 cups of mini marshmellows
  • Two egg
  • 1/4 cup (1/2 stick) butter or margarine
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit
  2. Grease an 8×8 baking pan
  3. In a medium saucepan combine chocolate chips, butter, and 1 cup of marshmellows
  4. Heat over medium heat, and stir to an even consistancy
  5. Remove from heat
  6. Stir in eggs and vanilla until well blended
  7. Add in flour, sugar and baking powder
  8. Stir until an even consistancy
  9. Spread batter into prepared pan
  10. Spread 2/3 cups of marshmellows over top of batter and push into batter gently
  11. Cook for 25 minutes, or until brownies begin to pull away from sides
  12. Allow to cool completely in pan (usually for about a half hour)
  13. Cut into bars and serve
