Butterscotch Brownies

Ingredients:

  • 2 1/2 cups flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted (sweet) softened butter
  • 1 3/4 cups packed dark brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 2/3 cup (11 oz) butterscotch flavored morsels

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit
  2. Combine flour, baking powder and salt in a medium bowl
  3. Beat melted butter, brown sugar, and vanilla extract in a large bowl
  4. Beat eggs into large bowl mixture
  5. Gradually beat in flour mixture until texture is smooth
  6. Stir in 1 cup of butterscotch morsels
  7. Spread into 13×9 inch UNGREASED baking pan
  8. Evenly spread remainder of morsels over top of mixture
  9. Cook for 30 minutes, or until brownies begin to pull away from sides
  10. Allow to cool completely in pan (usually for about an hour)
  11. Cut into bars and serve
